Dashes, particularly from the Art Deco era and those influenced thereby. Mostly by Delahaye with added De Soto and Delage. Bonus Cotal gear levers in a couple of cases.
The knob marked S (second picture down) is for le starter which means............the choke.
Note how the very blue and white Delahaye assumes that only the passenger is interested in speed and time.
